Partnering Links

The PVFF was created after receiving the Anthem Foundation of Ohio's Family Violence Prevention Grant in 2001. A needs assessment was conducted to help define our community's perceptions of violence and it's prevalence in Allen County.

From the information gathered, the PVFF created a strategic plan and set about investigating programs that would help to reduce the violence among the residents of Lima and Allen County. The programs that were identified and have been developed locally include the ACT Against Violence Program, the Talking about Touching Program, Olweus Bullying Prevention Program, and Safe DATES.
